Closing Africa's healthcare equipment gap
Africa's Healthcare Equipment Access, Intelligence & Sustainability Network.
Healthcare access begins with working equipment
Across Africa, healthcare facilities serve millions of patients with too few working machines. Donated equipment often arrives without assessment, training or maintenance — and falls idle within months.
DONMED was founded to change that. We treat equipment as part of a system: we assess needs, match the right donations, refurbish and deploy, train local teams, and keep devices running. The result is healthcare that is measurable, accountable and built to last.
Mission
To improve healthcare outcomes across Africa by mobilizing medical equipment donations, strengthening health systems, supporting biomedical engineering capacity, building partnerships, conducting infrastructure assessments and delivering sustainable solutions.
Vision
A healthier Africa where every healthcare facility has access to the equipment, expertise, partnerships and resources required to provide quality healthcare services.
